Final Illustrations

These are my final illustrations, I have tried to combine a mixture of both hard and soft, I have also used some controversial words. I have used a range of colours but kept every image simple without trying to over bare it. the front cover is a floral paper i bought from an arts and crafts shop. each colour represents something different on each image the red on the john Lennon image is to signify blood, after much research I feel the clientele should make their own mind up or decipher it themselves.

The Beatles Images

Here are some images I have gathered of the beatles, they range from young to older pictures.

The Beatles

I have decided to do my book on the beatles as I am far to boring, the beatles are icons in every sence of the word, there music stands the test of time selling over a billion records to date. The beatles are formed of four members: John Lennon, Paul Mccartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. I want my book to cover the different stages of there life. From when they first started to where they are now. I want to create good illustrations with a point, not for them to just look nice. The Beatles were very controversial at times but always stood for peace and free will. I want to create images that are hard and soft at the same time, without resorting to a computer which they wouldnt of had in the 60's so i want to keep it as minimal on technology as possible.

inspiration

I have many illustrators and designers who i admire, but two stick out the most, Jonny Hardstaff and Robert Banks, commonely known as "Banksy". There illusrations are very unique and i have tried to adapt my own style onto my artwork.
